Hey y'all, the demo's out, new and brand spankin' new Liar Liar 2 completely remastered, new sprites, backgrounds, story lines and I have a real special treat that I've been keeping under wraps, Guest CGs for all your favorite original bad ends with gorgeous, beautiful work from Riel [tumblr] [twitter] , Onco [DA], Hope [tumblr], and Kim [tumblr] [twitter] [flavors.me] !!! Get all the bad endings to see them all ;-)
I have some real good stuff waiting in there for you, as it is the demo and not the complete version there are bound to be bugs and unfinished end cards :-( but hopefully that will all be worked out by October! I'm excited to see you then!

The game continues one year after the game left off, Yukari and Miho are now high schoolers, who are now dating and spend their leisure time together holding hands, kissing, and murdering the occasional boy or two. On one day just like any other, a new transfer student arrives to Yukari's school. It's Koshi Tanaka! But wasn't he dead? Apparently not. The goal of the game is to figure out the mysterious circumstances of Tanaka's revival and most importantly, staying alive.
Trigger Warnings: Blood and Gore (an example of one depicted above), Violence (a majority of it is implied, but include, forced amputation, implied torture, throat slashing, and stabbing) mentions of stalking, eye strain (like the first game it is fairly bright), sudden noises and the screen shakes occasionally

go into the downloaded folder and open package contents for the renpy file, open contents then Mac OS, and open the file inside Mac OS

Played this straight after I completed Liar Liar 2 all the way through, and I love the new branches and developments! Sad that this'll never get a full game excluding the older Liar Liar 2, but I still think it's worth playing for the improved art and story. Also, in the files, there's a PNG with the label "surgeon", is that in the game? If so, how do you get to it? I've been trying for like half an hour lol

Hey so for some reason the game isn't downloadable through the itch.io app which is fine, I went to the itch.io website to download it straight from the download page and it worked. However, I unzipped the file and tried to click on the file called Liar Liar which looks like a little girl with red hair (I am on a mac). I have already unlocked permissions on the file, but whenever i try to press on it my tab bar down the bottom glitches for a minute but nothing pops up. Does anyone know what's going on? I reALLYY wanna play the game and not have to watch a walkthrough ;~;

It has been for a while. This is just so people will get hyped for the game. I mean, it doesn't even have the same artist.
I saw that there was a lack of videos on this game and thought that it was a shame. I absolutely loved this, despite it being a demo and really do wish to see the endings that were never completed! 💕

im sorry to break it to you, but the entire fandom has been waiting for close to 4 years for it to be finished. it's probably not going to happen.

I loved it, it made my heart scream (I love games that make me want to cry and feel so many emotions so good job with that!) and I loved the yukabayashi ending becuase tohru and yukabayashi are just like, complete opposites and that kind of makes it funny.
Genuinely amazing! I hope this demo gets finished some day. I played through the original Liar Liar 2 game, but this remake demo genuinely expands on the characters! Looking forward to the full version!

Sorry, I know this was commented 6 months ago lmao, but the one with Tohru holding the knife is one of the bad endings. I think you get it by telling him "Yes, that's bad" after Tanaka hurts his feelings.

this game is the BEST soo far im playing it everyday!
this was such a great play!! i played the full game first, and i'm kind of glad. this really raised the bar for future games, if you ever make any. this may just be a demo, but it's definitely worth the playthrough!!
For anyone wondering, I've found a few major differences between the demo and the full game so I'd say it's definitely worth playing both.

wow this is a grand improvement from the original liar liar 2! i love the new sprites and many new paths!!!!! very very entertaining to get all of the endings i could :)

When I played this game I may have found an error? At one point of the game Miho was talking but her name said Minami??
